There is so much to tell, so much to show.
The munchkin and I are back from our trip to Wisconsin, and now hubby is gone to Pennsylvania for three weeks of Army training. Sigh. My visions of settling down haven't quite materialized. This trip of his is particularly hard for me right now, as I'm currently having some serious issues with my depression (which may turn out to be bipolar disorder after all), and the fact that I promised myself years ago that I would never allow the Army to separate us again if I could help it. Another promise to myself that I cannot fulfill, but for good reason-the munchkin needs me here.
However, I did promise a photo of the fabric I inherited from my Grandma this past week.
The fabric on the left is vintage 1940s. I love that look of jellybeans! The middle fabric is hand-printed from Key West, Florida, and the fabric on the right is vintage brushed cotton? I think that's the right term. Very satin-y feel.
Sunday I poked my head into a few thrift stores during a particulary difficult bout of social anxiety. I'm fine around strangers (as long as I don't have to speak). Some pics of my finds...
Don't you just love that dish on the left? Not sure what it's original purpose was, since it is very shallow, but I might use it to hold straight pins while sewing in my new and improved craft room. That's right, I've finally cleaned up the sunroom/craftroom. What a difference a little effort and organization can make, especially with some new shelves from Target.
Well, not quite clean yet, but a lot more roomy. Now to tackle the other side of the room (where computer desk and craft table are hiding under piles of stuff, but that's another day).
And now a caveat...I realize I owe several packages to several people (Ali, Heather) and of course I need to get going on my book swap and calendar swap packages. So, if I owe you a package, it will be coming next payday (this recent trip to Wisconsin was not in the budget, if you get my meaning). Please accept my whole-hearted apologies. I havent' forgotten you, I'm just a little skewed right now, lol.
